DEAR NANCY, I REALLY FEEL THAT JENNIFER HAS EXPRESSED ALL OF OUR SYMPATHY IN HER BEAUTIFUL TRIBUTE TO BOB. L.J. AND I WILL ALWAYS TREASURE OUR FIRST MEETING WITH BOB AND JIM AS WE TRAVELED TO BE WITH OUR POLISH FAMILY FOR A WEDDING IN THE BEAUTIFUL MONTH OF OCTOBER. BOB WAS SO GRACIOUS TO US ALONG WITH EVERYONE ELSE AS WE JOURNEYED TO CHICAGO ALONG WITH OUR DEAR COUSIN JULIUS IN 1978, AND WHAT A CELEBRATION...POPE JOHN PAUL WAS ELECTED DURING OUR VISIT!!!

Nancy, Bob's last 15 years have been So blessed by your presence. He was always a loving and giving man, but never as happy as he was with you. Thank you for loving him and sharing life with him. Taking him to Mexico was the final gift. That could not have been easy, but you enabled him pass on to eternal life from his favorite place on this earth. God bless you for that.

Dear and Nancy and family,
Words can not express adequately our condolences for your loss. It was with great sadness that we learned of Bob's death but with joy we reflect on his life and gifts. Bob will always, along with you Nancy, have a special place in our hearts. Both of you attending our daughter Bethany's and our son in law Ryan's wedding in New Orleans will be something we always lovingly remember and cherish. Bob's visits to New Orleans brought us wide smiles even as very young children at our many aunts' and uncles' homes. I can see Bob and his mother at Aunt Mary Rose's and Uncle Julius' kitchen table talking and laughing, sipping coffee and tea for hours. Bob was the last to go to sleep and ready to take to adventure to explore our beautiful city and its past. Bob (as well as the entire Jakobsze family) made us feel that we were perched on top of the world savoring the love between our families and their history intertwined from Poland to Gretna, LA then to Chicago and its suburbs. Bob's visits at Mardi Gras and special occasions were tradition. He prayed with us, played with us and found happy times in talking to Julius, Jr. then Hosie about special dishes and culinary delights. Such pride he shared in service to others and making others happy and appreciated. Nancy, his marrying a nurse made me and the other nurses in the family just tickled pink. We knew you'd take care of him and love life at his side with him. And you did and we will always be grateful for that. I think Bob's mom and Aunt Elenora, Aunt Mary Rose, Aunt Margaret, Aunt Velma and Aunt Mary Louise must have all lined up just so at Heaven's gates to give Bob a New Orleans-style greeting from Heaven humming lovingly "When the Saints Go Marching In" joined with soft baritones in the background of Uncle Henry, Henry, Jr. and Uncle Julius and Barry's guitar, giving Bob just a few pointers on where to make his dent in Heaven at the Lord's table. Our deep love to you and hugs across the miles, sweet Nancy. While we can't be with you, we will keep you in our waking prayers and Walk in memory and honor of our beloved Bob during this year's American Heart Start Walk this November in New Orleans City Park and thinking of Bob's long walks in our historic city.
Love and novenas,
