Dear Dorothy, I hope that you get this as I know I am months late in responding. I was just running a search to see if I could find you and Bob and discovered this. I am so sorry I didn't reach out sooner. You and Bob were like second parents to me and I have missed you both so much over the years. I feel awful that I didn't reach out in time. Uncle Bob was one of the most wonderful men I have ever had the opportunity to know in my lifetime and will always be remembered by me. May your grief be tempered by all the wonderful memories you have.

I first started working for Bobby 8 years ago.I have experienced many different types of personalities in my over 50 years of travels, but I can truly say this man was unique. You always had to do a double glance with Bobby to see if he was serious or pulling your leg, usually it was the latter.A tremendous amount of fun, a truly loving Husband,Top of the line Business man,Humble war Hero, and definitely an unforgettable mentor for myself. (Hey Bobby if I mispelled anything Im sure you'll let me know). Missing you lots
I will miss you more than you could possibly imagine, My Father and freind.Andy

Uncle Bob
I was only 10 years old when I met Uncle Bob.
Some of my best memories are:
Fathers day weekend sports banquet @ North Western academy. Bonanza Beachcraft flying into Lake Lawn Lodge for the weekend. Chipping ice away from the hanger at Gary airport. Visiting the condo at Abbey Springs on the weekends. Going to Sarasota for Spring Break. Helping clean the pool and the boat. Siesta Key fish market for some fresh shrimp. Making sales calls for Moran Equipment in the Mazda RX7. Jumping into water and pulling the boat back to the dock because the motor had died.
Uncle Bob was GREAT and he will always be in my thoughts.

I was lucky to have been a friend of Bob's for the past 22 years. He was a shining light when he came to call on us at work. Our friendship went further than that and I considered him a dear personal friend. Although we flirted (harmlessly) Bob always spoke of his beautiful wife Dorothy whom I got to meet a couple of times and I have to say he was one lucky man. She is one of the most beautiful woman I know. My thoughts and prayers are with her and all of the family. Especially the family from Flash. There will be big shoes to fill there. Bob was always trying to find me a man who would be the love of my life, well that didn't happen but Bob I want you to know that I hope I find one that you would approve of, one just like you! You will missed, but never forgotten.

Our friend and neighbor, Bob, had hidden depths that he didn't talk about - his service to our country and the impressive medals for that service. We wish we could have honored him during his life. He will be missed by all, but so much by Dorothy. Our condolences to all the family.

To The Kohn Family,
Bobbie and I were best friends in high school and buddies durring WWII. In fact were were in the 764Th Bomb Squadron together for about 10 days ib Italy. Afterword, I lost track of Bobbie until about 10 years ago when we had dinner with our wives and I believe Mort Mandle.
He was a great guy and a good friend for special periods in both our lives.
I will always rember him fondly and send our condolenses to Dorothey and the entire clan!

I was fortunate enough to meet Bob as one of his customers almost 20 years ago. He was probably one of the most genuine nice guys ever. I always enjoyed our chats when he came around; his stories, jokes and dry wit always left me with a smile on my face. I even went out to dinner with him and got to meet Dorothy, who I found out actually was crazy about him as he had told me for years. When I changed jobs I lost contact with him until a couple years ago, when he called out of the blue and we went to lunch. He was the same guy I had known for all those years and still left me with a smile and a promise to do it again. Unfortunately that will not happen, but I still think about him and wish Dorothy, his family and friends fond memories and peace.
