Bob was one of the nicest "tough guys" I have ever known. He served Chicago as a police officer and the building in which he lived as Condo Board Director. We will all miss him greatly.

My dear friend you were a class act!! I will miss our daily e-mails.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put
His arms around you and whispered " Come to Me".

Sorry I could not attend the service... I met Bob at the State's Attorney's Office. Bob had a great dry sense of humor and we became friends even though her was from Mt.Carmel and I was from Fenwick.

Mandy,
We are so sorry. I had great times working with Bob on the CPD and the States Atty. Office. I still remember picking him up at the old house and he only gave me a half of cup of coffee due to the slant of the kitchen floor. I thought about him all the time since our retirements. Peg and I will miss him dearly. Our prayers are with you and and the kids.

I was one of Bob's teammates at Mt. Carmel and Purdue. He was a great guy, So talented. A slashing runner who caused fear in many opponents. Bob was a humble man. And quick with a great sense of humor. He was always interested in what you were doing. I'm very sad today, but so happy to have known Bob Hurst.
