Holloway, Attorney Robert H. 87 years old, went home with the Lord, November 21, 2005. He served his country in 1941, during WWII and was placed in Officer Candidates School, after which he was promoted to Captain and sent to North Africa where he commanded a Port Battalion and Recreation Facility. He was honorably discharged five years later. In the political arena, he worked as an Assistant States Attorney and Ward Committeeman. He was elected to the Illinois State Legislature from the 29th District in 1972. He had his own Law Practice in Chicago for many years. Attorney Robert Holloway Sr., is survived by his son, Robert Holloway III and daughter, Roslyn, six grandchildren, a sister, Ernestine Marchand and brother, John Holloway. Visitation Thursday, December 1, 2005, at 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Funeral 11 a.m., at St. Paul C.M.E. Church, 4644 S. Dearborn St. Interment following at Washington Memory Garden Cemetery, Homewood, IL.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

i'm real sorry to hear that bob passed away, him and my sister kathleen were very close, he will be missed very much! I saw bob march of 2005 he and his brother came to my mom's wake in brigeport! we talk for 30 minutes and i gave him a hug, find it hard to believe he's gone, i'm sorry! mike dohney
