Thank you God for bringing someone like Bob into our lives. He taught me how to properly swing a golf club and he helped my husband be a much better golfer! I would've never swung a golf club again until he taught me the proper way to swing the golf club. I have a life long appreciation for golf now and I have God and Bob to thank for that. He was such a patient and wonderful golf instructor and just a really great person, we will truly miss him, but we will never forget what he taught us.

RIP Bob and my condolences and prayers to his family. He was a great golf instructor and made the process so much fun. He would evaluate my swing and would say, "That's . . . OKay" and then have me make a slight adjustement to get me back on track. I am so glad that I had the opprotunity to be instructed by him

I was very saddened when I learned about Bob's passing. I hadn't been by the range in the last few months and then when I stopped in I saw the notice. I was really stopping by to see Bob before the winter and just have one of our short chats about this or that. While I knew Bob as a very fine teaching pro, he was more, he was a friend.
Bob always wanted to help people and cared, not just about the game but the people who played. Mostly just average golfers, Bob had a way to find the right methods and words to help his students understand the game, and the patience to continually coach them to be more successful and enjoy golf.
About ten years ago I first met Bob at the Fresh Meadows range, I was starting to get back into my game and Bob was there to help. We discovered we came from the same neighborhood in Chicago and shared the high school times of Lane Tech.
Last year I remember bumping into him in the parking lot as he was leaving and I mentioned that I was having a bit of swing difficulty and wanted to set up a lesson. Bob said that the problem sounded small and asked me to take a golf club out of my car trunk, then proceeded to give me a 20 minute lesson in the parking lot – 3 or 4 others stopped by to watch. And Bob was right, the problem was corrected.
I am very sorry that he and I never played a round together, we kept putting it off. That would have been a very fine experience. I will miss him but will carry a bit of him with me whenever I play and hopefully pass his wisdom and patience onto others.

He was a great teacher and friend . Every shot I make I will be thinking of him. What will I do without him? Golf is a great game, but it was even greater with him around. I will miss you Bob.

My relationship with Bob was developed through the golf industry. I've always recognized Bob as true professional. I knew that Bob would go out of his way if I needed help or support in the industry. Every year as Bob was going to the National PGA Show he would stop in the White Pines golf dome and ask me if there was anyting that he could research for me because I was always busy teaching in late January. He always kept me updated on the latest video equiment and any training aids that he thought would be helpful for our students. He made me feel that our relationship was important because he always took time to say hello or visit on his trips out to the White Pines golf dome. He made every golfer, regardless of their ability feel comfortable on the golf course. Bob was my friend, he will be missed. God Bless.

I had the honor and priviledge of being Bob's friend for over 50 years. I knew him as a best friend when we were little growing up and I will remember him as the grown up man who would give his shirt off his back to help you. I know because I was one of the lucky ones whose life was touched by Bob and I will remember and treasure his friendship forever. George Sorokowskyj and Family - Bob you are and will be missed in our lives.

I had the pleasure of knowing Bob through having him teach golf to some of our employees over the years. He was patient, funny and always had a good story to tell. The fact that he endured everything he did while he was in the hospital over the years was a testament to his strength and his ability to keep going. He was always so sweet to me and he was certainly one of the good guys. Kate Pullara - Executive Construction Inc.

I am shocked and saddened beyond words. Bob was a wonderful teacher, a kind man, and a terrific friend. As others here have said, we need more people like Bob.
Somehow I just can't picture playing golf without Bob to get help from and ask dumb questions to. I can only be thankful that I had all the experiences with him that I did.

I had the pleasure of working with Bob for six years at Fresh Meadow. The one thing I can say about him was he was a very giving person: to his students, friends , and co-workers. If we all followed Bob's caring attitude towards others, the world would be a much better place.
