Robert Fitzpatrick Obituary

Fitzpatrick, Robert Blase A mass for Robert Blase Fitzpatrick, 77, of Des Plaines for more than 40 years, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at St. Zachary Church. Born February 3, 1925 in Chicago, he died Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at his home after a brief illness. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip, IL. Mr. Fitzpatrick was a WWII Navy Veteran and a graduate of Northwestern University. He was a former banker at Citizens Bank & Trust in Park Ridge with more than 15 years of service prior to his retirement Mr. Fitzpatrick was a member of The Chicago Board of Trade and Bankers Association of Chicago and a 40 year member of the Des Plaines Elks Club. He was the beloved husband of Evelyn (nee Silhavy), loving father of Robert Jr. (Linda) Fitzpatrick of Lake Forest, Sharon (Dr. Charles) Martinez of Barrington and Therese (George) Pilacoutas of Libertyville, dear grandfather of Nina, Andrew, Tony, Lauren, Nick, Michael, Robert III and Allison, dear brother of Marion (Richard) O'Toole, Carol (Frank) Silhavy and the late Edward (Ruth), John and Richard (Patricia) Fitzpatrick and son of the late Edward and Marion Fitzpatrick. Visitation will be from 3 until 9 p.m. Friday, at the Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines.
