Robert William Evans

November 17, 1931 - January 9, 2021

Born to parents Lyman and Lindy Evans on November 17, 1931, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. After the passing of his mother as an infant, he was raised by his Grandparents George and Leah Swank. At the age of five, they moved to Oildale/Bakersfield, California, where he attended Oildale Standard School, Bakersfield High School, and Bakersfield College. Served in the United States Army from 1954-1962. Worked for Texaco/Chevron for 36 years. Moved to his loving city of Ventura, California in 1961, where he enjoyed living and his retirement until his passing on January 9, 2021, at the age of 89. He was loved and cared for by his three children Ronald Wayne, Deanna Kay, and Lynette Marie. He was a Grandfather to Crystal Lynn, John Terrell (Jonathan), Kirstine Marie, Emily Erin, and Sarah Renee Elizabeth. Leaving behind a Great-grandson Emerson Max. Wanting to return to his childhood city and join his family, our Dad will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Bakersfield, California. Please join us on February 9, 2021 at 9:30am for our Dad's Celebration of Life at their outside Chapel, followed by Graveside Service.
