Just found out that Bob Egan passed away. What a gentleman. We were both salesmen that called on retail grocery stores. Bob was always upbeat and happy and fun to be around. He was one fine salesman who was well respected in the retail sales grocery industry.
All the Little Joe's luncheon guys deeply miss you ( retired salesmen that meet at Little Joe's)
Rest in peace Bob.

As kids my brother, sister and I always flocked to his porch every chance we could. And we weren't the only ones. Everyone loved Mr Egan! He may not have had any children but he was like a 2nd Dad to many. And it's funny we alway called him Mr Egan and her Peggy. He was so much fun to be around, funny and always nice as could be. Greatest neighbor ever! May you RIP and I know your happy to be back with Peggy. You have been apart way too many years. We will never forget you!

Mr. & Mrs. Egan were some of the finest neighbors on Kenneth Ave. As one of the many neighborhood boys from the block, we used to see Mr. Egan sitting out on his front porch in the summer and stop by on our bicycles and join him listening to the Sox game on his transistor radio or just hang out and catch him up on what is going on in the neighborhood. Mr. Egan was so friendly, jovial, and genuinely interested in hearing about our neighborhood stories.
Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Egan for being great neighbors and sharing your porch with us kids. Great memories growing up in Chicago! May you and Mrs. Egan rest in peace!

All of Richard and Jeanette Luce's children have fond memories of Bob and Peggy Egan over the years. Bob's love of the White Sox lead to many laughs and ribbing over the Cubs Sox rivalry. Will remember his dry sense of humor and his banter with my Dad. At last he is reunited with his bride, Peggy. Craig and Kathy Luce

May the God of all comfort strengthen the family during this time of deep sorrow. Those who pass on, God keeps in his memory because they are precious in his eyes. My sincerest condolences. (Psalms 116:15)
