Robert Egan Obituary

J. Lubbock said, "When we have done our best, we should wait the result in peace." Whatever Bob undertook, he always put forth his best effort and would always feel that obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals. I will miss him coming to Springfield to see Dr. Stone; and will certainly miss his sound advice and ready smile. My sincere sympathy to Marie and entire family. He was a wonderful man whose motives are always high.

To the Egan family -- it was my very great pleasure to have worked with your husband and father while he served in State government. He was a fine statesman, a true and loyal friend, and a good, good person. He loved you all very much and talked of you often. It seemed he always had new photos to share. I know his loss will leave a gap in your lives, as it will for many of us whom you don't even know, but please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers as you go through your period of grief. He'll always be with us in spirit.
