I'm sorry to hear about the passing of General Duewerth. I had the pleasure of working with General Duewerth while assigned to the 315th Field Depot and the 86th USARCOM. General Duewerth was an inspirational mentor and role model for many of us Officers. My prayers go out to the family. He will certainly be missed.

The thing that always came out whenever Bob and I would enjoy a cup together was his strong commitment both to the CPD and the US Army. He was so proud of both careers. I met him several months after he retired and it was evident how much he missed the challenges the Department offered. Bob was a true professional and a just man and is just the kind needed today.

I was privileged to work with and for Bob for several years at Northwestern University, the Training Division and at
A & ICD. Bob was, by far, the finest boss I ever worked for. All who worked with and for Bob will never forget him.
