Robert Crawford Obituary

Crawford, Robert T. "Crash" age 68, passed away Friday, August 22, 2003, at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer, late of New Lenox and Bradenton, FL. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy M. (Martin) Crawford, his mother, Ellen (Mueller) Crawford, proud father of Victor Pedretti, Bridget (Greg) Eckardt, Colleen (David) McQuaid, Valerie (William) Crain, Constance Crawford and Wendy (Tom) George, two brothers, Michael (Bonnie) Crawford, Patrick (Judy) Crawford and one sister, Ellen (Dan) Hart and 13 grandchildren. He retired from IBEW Local 134 after 40 years. He moved from New Lenox six years ago to Florida. He was a member of the Oracles Social Club and the New Lenox sportsmen club. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Crawford and his son, Robert Crawford. Family will receive friends at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, Sunday, August 24, 2003, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Services Monday, August 25, 2003, at 9 a.m., in the funeral home chapel until time of services at 11 a.m., with Rev. Jim McGuire officiating.

Bob and Jim were friends during their high school years and beyond. We have a photo of Jim, Bob, Don Raymond and Jack Lynch sitting on Jim's front steps when they were about 17. Many condolences to his wife, children, and grandchildren.
