Beloved husband of the late Gertrude Gorecki-Byrne (nee Lenz), dear stepfather of Anita (Fred) Sosinski and Dennis (Mary) Gorecki, grandfather of Russell (Alyssa) Sosinski and Sarah, Kristine and Tess Gorecki, great-grandfather of Sophia and Thomas Robert Sosinski, loving son of the late Edward P. and Mary (nee Kovack) Byrne, fond brother of Donald (Shirley) Byrne, fond uncle of Valerie, Donald, Michelle and David, and great-uncle of Amanda. Funeral Wednesday, 9 a.m., from the Dalcamo Funeral Home, 470 W. 26th St., to St. Barbara Church. Mass 9:30 a.m. Entombment Resurrection Mausoleum. Visitation Tuesday, 2 to 9 p.m. 312-842-8681.

We are very saddened to hear about the passing of Grandpa Bob. He certainly was very dear to the family. I know that Sophie loved his daily lollipops! Also, Russ and Alyssa will deeply miss him, but he is in a better place. May he rest in Peace.
