Bruce, Robert J. age 72, of Lyons, IL, formerly of West Frankfort, IL. Korean Vet. Beloved husband of Kathleen (nee Werthmann), loving father of David (Jenni), Barbara A. (Robert Peterson), Joseph, Michael P., Eileen M. and Peter (Jeanne), cherished grandfather of eight, step-grandfather of five, fond brother of Helen Viehweg, Rita Hendren, Joseph (Margaret), Richard (Delphine), William, Mary, Elizabeth, JoAnn (Richard Weigus), Charles (Mary Ann), late Eva Tyrolt and James Jr., many nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends. Funeral services Saturday, November 13, 2004, 9:30 a.m., from Tower Home for Funerals, 4007 S. Joliet Ave. (but not Joliet Road-between Harlem & First Ave., just south of Ogden Ave.), Lyons, IL, to St. Hugh Church for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL. We little knew that morning God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you the day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide,
Although we cannot see you,you are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken now, and nothing seem the same, but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again.
I'll miss you Uncle Bob!
