Brooks Jr., Robert P. age 85, 27 year resident of Western Springs and formerly of the south side of Chicago. 1st Lt. U.S. Army Air Corps, WWII Pacific Theater Pilot. Retired Executive Vice-President and Chicago Chapter Manager of the National Electrical Contractors' Association, 3rd generation I.B.E.W. Local 134 member and former City of Chicago Electrical Inspector. Beloved husband of Margaret K. (nee Kerrigan); dear father of Jeanne Marie (John) Wahl, Phyllis Krumpolz, Robert P. III (Betty) Brooks, Kathleen (Timothy) Eaton and the late Pamela Brooks; dear grandfather of 13 and great grandfather of 15; dear brother of Suzanne M. Brooks, the late Lauraine (John) Cremin and the late Sr. Dolores Brooks, O.P.; uncle to many. Visitation Monday, 3 to 9 p.m., at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Funeral Tuesday, January 3rd, 10:45 a.m., from chapel to St. John of the Cross Church, Western Springs, for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:15 a.m. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Dear Brooks Family,
I am thinking of all of you in your time of sorrow. I have many warm memories of Mr. Brooks. It was a great pleasure the day he moved to Western Springs and I had the chance to meet Kathleen. We are lucky he served our country and help protect our freedom. I am so sorry I learned of his death so late I was not able to attend his services. I know my parents will be saddened to hear of his passing.
