Robert Bastian Obituary

Wow is all I can say. It has been a very long time and I came across Bob in the cemetary of all places. He is buried next to my boss. He was such a great man and always, always kind to Vinnie and I. I will keep you both in my prayers. Take care through the holiday season.

Dear Sue, Nancy and Family,
I recently heard about Bob's death from Joan O'neill. I can remember Bob always being such a nice guy in school, a very sweet person.

I was on a 3,000 mile road trip and shocked to hear of Bob's death when I returned.

I know that Bob has battled illness for quite some time now, so this is the end of a very difficult journey for him ... and for you.

You are a remarkable woman. During all those years, you stood by his side and nurtured him. I know he appreciated that.

Please give my condolences to Mike, Laura, Nancy, Sue and their families. You will be able to draw comfort and strength from their love and support. And if I can help in any way, please don't hesitate to call me anytime.

Remember... for every joy that passes, something beautiful remains.

Sincere condolences from a former classmate -- Bede's Class of 1965. I didn't get acquainted with Bob until we had our first reunion back in the early 90s. Bob was a great guy with many loyal friends -- I know they will miss him. It sounds like he left a great legacy -- four grandchildren. I hope they will give you comfort in the days ahead.
