Robert Antolak Obituary

Antolak, Robert L.

Robert L. Antolak, age 89, longtime resident of Elmhurst, passed away on April 1, 2025. The youngest of 11 children, Bob is pre-deceased by his siblings and in his own way became the mainstay of his family. Fond uncle and great-uncle of many nieces and nephews. Affectionately known to many as Uncle Bob. He had a long career at Mt. Sinai Medical Center until retiring as Director of Admitting. A Scrabble enthusiast he competed in local clubs and national tournaments. Bob enjoyed life by cooking, sharing a good meal, traveling, loving dogs, and keeping us laughing. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to honor Bob with a random act of kindness. A memorial service for Bob is being planned for a future date. Arrangements handled by Gibbons Funeral Home, Elmhurst. 630-832-0018 or www.gibbonsfuneralhome.com

So sad to hear as the last of the generation of Luberda Cousins. They are all now in heaven together. He was close in age to my Mom (Bonnie Stawowa Keane) and will always be remembered for his joyfulness and sense of humor. Deepest sympathies.
