Richard E. Zabel, Sr. age 75 of Ft. Lauderdale, FL passed away at his home on August 30, 2020. He was born in Chicago, IL to Louis and Josephine Zabel.

He is survived by his sister Anita Grizaffi (Bern), brother Robert Zabel, sister Louise Cullinan (Patrick), son Rick Zabel, Jr. (Kris), 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Linda and his daughter Debra. Rick was an entrepreneur and had numerous businesses throughout his life. They are deeply missed by all who knew and loved them. Rick and his daughter Debra will be laid to rest at Christ the King Church Cemetery in Wonder Lake on Saturday, September 18, 2021.

Rick was a character and a personality at our guys Taft reunions. I worked for his father at Mil Green and I was friends with his brother Bob . I felt part of the family . I´ll miss him .
