Richard J. Ternes, Retired C.F.D., Army Veteran. Beloved Husband of the late Sandra,nee LaFave. Loving father of Dawn Ternes(late David Gomez) and Linda Mikutis(Verdon Tuttle). Dear grandfather of Michael(Jessi)Mikutis and Richard Mikutis. Great grandfather of Allison and friend and mentor to many. Recipient of the I.A.F.F. International Leadership Award, Decades of Dedication to Local 2 members, Longtime Steward and Contract Enforcement Assistant, helping many since the days of "Brotherhood of the Barrel" Visitation Sunday, 4pm to 8pm at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave.(55 th street just west of Harlem). Visitation Monday at the funeral home from 8:30 AM until time of Prayers at 9:30 AM. We will go in procession from the funeral home to St. Daniel the Prophet Church for a 10 AM Mass. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
