Richard Pace Obituary

Pace, Richard Steven

1958-2021 Rich Pace, 63, died at his home, September 21st, 2021. Born April 14, 1958 in Racine, WI, his family moved back to Chicago, IL in the early 60s. In his teens and 20s, Mr. Pace was a member of Rising Up Angry. A community organization in Chicago that fought for the rights of working people. Rich worked with the organization's legal clinic which helped find legal representation for low income individuals. He was the owner of Fast Pace Trucking and one of the founders of the musical groups Max Cady Band and P.O.K.E. He enjoyed time with his family and friends, staying fit and performing as a musician. He is survived by his lifelong companion Diane Miller, children Yvonne Miller (Jim) and Scott Miller (Michelle), grandchildren, Krystal (Matt), Ashley (Ben), Tony (Mallorie), Heather (Jeffrey), Bobbi (Alex), Christina (Mike) and Megan, great grandchildren, Landon, Wyatt, Brody, Mason, Brian, Levi and Axel, nieces and nephews, Tony, Tabo, Peter (Tricia), and Kyle, brothers Tom Pace and Joe Pace, extended family and many friends. Rich was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Pace, father, Pete Pace, loving mentor Norma Gatto, and his sister Sarah Pace.
