Dear Ostrow Family,
I'm a teacher at DHS, and Mr. Ostrow spoke to my classes through the Grand Times program. He was wonderful, and all the students said his presentation was one of the more memorable moments of the year. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Many members of the staff at Highland Park High School were incredibly fond of Dick and so appreciative of the work he did as part of Grand Times. We will all miss him!

It is a matter of great personal anguish that I cannot be at Dick's services, ironically because I have to be at the Janesville Gazette, where Dick's newspaper practice started. Dick was a friend, mentor, partner, and inspiration to me. I shall always treasure our experiences together and hold his memory in my heart. I regret his family's loss --- and all of our loss. He will always be in my prayers and thoughts. Michael J. Rybicki
