Richard Leonard Obituary

Leonard, Richard "Dick" 79, joined our Lord Sunday, September 23, 2007, beloved husband of Darvaia (nee Rietman), loving father of Richard "Rick" (Peggy) and Douglas Leonard, dearest grandfather of Zackary, Tyler, Brandon and Brenda. He is also missed by his much loved family pets. Dick was a graduate of the Morgan Park Military Academy (Class of 46) and was a University of Illinois Alum (Psi Upsilon Fraternity, Omicron Chapter). Richard was the President of C.B. Leonard Const. Co. and the owner of Leonard Steel Co. He was also a member of Local 1 Ironworkers Union for 56 years. Much of Dicks free time was spent volunteering as a coach for the Palos Youth Baseball Association. Visitation Thursday, 3 to 9 p.m., at Lawn Funeral Home, 7732 W. 159th St., Orland Park. Lying-in-state Friday, 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 11 a.m., at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7800 W. McCarthy Rd., Palos Heights. Interment Good Shepherd Cemetery.
