It´s April 2025 now, 22 years after my Father´s death and I miss him so much. He was a wonderful Father, Doctor and friend. I´m visiting my sister with my husband and Mother this weekend in Illinois and I was reading this obituary.
Wow, would he be surprised at the world in 2025!! He would also be alarmed with the state of his beloved medical profession. It´s not what it used to be. Anyway, we miss you Dad! Hope you´re in a good place, maybe working in the healing arts or sailing on calm beautiful waters somewhere.

Dear Kurtz Family: When I was a young audiologist at Michael Reese Hospital, Dr. Kurtz was the bright young doctor who came into the illustrious practice of Drs. Leshin, Friedman and Cohen. Dr. Kurtz was a marvelous addition to our hospital community and I will always remember how kind and helpful he was to professionals in audiology to be a part of the multidisciplinary management of hearing impaired children and adults. I was sad to hear of Dr. Kurtz's death and I know there is a great unfilled place in the care of hearing impaired people that will be difficult to restore. My sympathies to all of you.
