Richard lived at Celebrate Senior Living where I live and I saw him very often. He was always quiet and pleasant. I was the one who noticed he was not going outside to smoke as he usually did. I found him in his room and he was not very responsive at all. We then called the ambulance. That was the last time I saw my friend. One thing I always noticed was that when he passed the chapel entrance, he took off his hat. I thought that was very sweet. God bless you, Richard. You are now at peace. I will always remember you in my prayers. And today, at Mass, you will be remembered by all who are present. You were a little sweetheart.... pretty scruffy, but a sweetheart nevertheless!
