Richard Abrams Obituary

Abrams, Richard M. age 83, of Northbrook, IL, passed away on July 21, 2008. He was born on November 2, 1924, in Chicago, IL. He served his country in WWII in the U.S. Army. He was a loving, devoted husband, father and friend to many. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, daughter, Susan Luerssen (Bill), son, Harry (Helene), step-daughter, Rhonda Cohen (Craig), sister, Anita Rappeport, sister-in-law, Sally Jacobs, brother-in-law, Alan Jacobs (Avrie), eight grandchildren (Ryan, Molly, Jennifer, Bill, Nicole, Jordan, Courtney and Blake), two great-grandchildren and five nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Fan Abrams, his late wife, Lois Jacobs, his in-laws, Jack and Hilda Jacobs, his step-daughter, Wendy Jacobs and his nephews, Bob Rappeport and Ron Kapson. There will be a private graveside service on Friday, July 25, 2008, at 11 a.m., at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Rd., Arlington Heights, IL. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Morton Grove Hadassah Cancer Research Fund, c/o Thelma Dobkin, 9530 Lamon-#419, Skokie, IL, 60077.
