Reno Lucchesi Obituary

Lucchesi, Reno J. Age 88, born on October 9, 1924 in Lucca, Italy, passed June 30, 2013 in Lombard, IL. Beloved husband of 66 years to the late Ann (nee Faraone); loving father of John (Barb), James (Lenice), Anthony (Linda) and Rena; cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Brian), Jaime, Jason (Jamie), Jeffrey, Michael, Nicole (Jeff), Daniel, Christie, and Nicholas; treasured great-grandfather of Barrett, Jasyn, Samuel, Brady, Gavin, Grace, and Claire; extended family to Mark, Ann Marie, Kevin and Marc Dubler. Reno was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Quentilla Lucchesi; his grandson, Little Johnny Lucchesi and his brother, Stanley Lucchesi. Reno proudly served his country in the United States Army in WWII. He was the owner of Bellwood Heating, member of Holy Name Society at St. Simeon and St. John Chrysostom Churches in Bellwood. He enjoyed his membership in Lions Club, Moose Lodge and Kiwanis, in which he collected the most donations five years in a row at the corner of Mannheim and St. Charles Rds. Reno was a delighted sponsor of Little League in Bellwood; although he was never an officer, Reno was always a good helper and someone you could depend on. He will be missed by many. Visitation at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17W201 Roosevelt Rd., (just west of Rt. 83) Oakbrook Terrace, Friday, July 5, 2013 from 3-9pm. Prayers will begin on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 9:15am at the funeral home and continue to St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1025 E Madison St., Lombard for 10am Funeral Mass followed by procession to Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
