Rene Couture Obituary

Couture, Mr. Rene Camille Of Northlake, Illinois passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at the age of 93. Rene was born to parents, Josephat and Blanche Couture on April 19, 1922 in Saint Boniface, Winnipeg, Canada. He grew up as the eldest of three and attended Senn High School. In 1945, he married his high school sweetheart, Joyce Wooldridge. He was a World War II Veteran and POW who greatly loved this country. Rene was Linotype Machinist for over 40 years. He was a dedicated union man for the Typographical Union. He supported his fellow co-workers to continually improve the working conditions in print shops all around the Chicagoland area. Rene is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Evelyn, Dennis and Sandy, Glen and Tara; by his daughter and son-in-law, Nanette and Neville; eight grandchildren, Julie, Heather, Ken, Joshua, Brett, Travis, Christopher, and Lauren; and three great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Taylor and Easton; and by his brother Ernie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; and his brother, Richard. At 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 25th, doors will be opened for a time of fellowship and remembrance with family and friends at Saint Marcelline's Church, 820 S. Springinsguth Road, Schaumburg, IL followed by a 10:00 a.m. mass to celebrate his life.
