Family-Placed Death Notice

Rebecca Peterson, 81 of Atlanta and formerly of Ailey, GA., died May 28, 2004 at Hospice Atlanta. Mrs. Peterson was born in Sylvester, GA., and was the daughter of the late Clair Alford Godwin and Winifred Lee Brim. She was very active in the Ailey Community and was a past member of the Board of Trustees of Epworth by the Sea and a member of the city council of Ailey, the Ailey Garden Club, and was the choir director and a Sunday School teacher at Ailey United Methodist Church. Mrs. Peterson was also a member of the General Montgomery Chapter of the Daughters of the American Colonists and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Daniel Peterson and is survived by her daughter, Claire Peterson Schwall and her husband, Emory Ashford Schwall, Jr., grandchildren, Emory Ashford Schwall III, Malcolm Peterson Schwall, sister, Marjory Bangs, and brother, Clair Godwin Jr. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Wesleyan College, 4760 Forsyth Rd., Macon, GA. 31210-4407, United Methodists Childrens Home, P.O.
