Vogel, Raymond 88, beloved husband for 68 years of Shirley "Sis" (nee Keller), loving father of Janet (Loyal) Lightfoot, Lesley Sadol, Randy (Kathleen), Richard (Lohra), and Roger (Shoshana), adored grandfather and great-grandfather. Graveside Service Thursday, April 1, 2010, 1:30 p.m. at Westlawn Cemetery, Maple Section, 7801 W. Montrose, Norridge. In lieu of flowers, contributions to First Hebrew Congregation, 249 Broadway, South Haven, MI 49090. Member of the Collectors Club of Chicago. Thinking back on what I knew about his life, I have a sense that he is in a better place now. Alive, I knew him as a calm person, but always quick to tell you of some time or another; Very personable, yet very passionate about certain subjects. We would have discussions about architecture and his accomplishments in that field. I was always very envious of the stone carving on the façade of his apartment building on Bonnie Brae, and he knew it. Before I would even ask him to tell me about it again, he would. To my family out there, I love you. Like you all, I miss him greatly and I will remember him always. Love you Grandpa.
