Thompson Sr., Raymond J. 82, of Carpentersville, beloved husband for 59 years of Bernice (nee Powell), loving father of Bobbette (Ronnie) Cantrell, Susan (William) Fritzler, Raymond J., Jr. (Sandra) and Robert (Dee), dear grandfather of Sherrie, Michael, Raymond III, Stephen, Donna, Layla and Steven Ray, great grandfather of Christopher, Lauren, Timothy, Kevin, Joseph, Daniel, James, RJ and Justin, fond brother of Patricia, uncle and friend of many. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Dundee Lodge #190 A.F. & A.M., 89 S. Kennedy Drive (Route 25) in Carpentersville. Burial will follow in the Dundee Twp. East Cemetery, East Dundee. Visitation will be on Wednesday, from 3 to 9 p.m. in the Dundee Lodge #190 A.F. & A.M. A Masonic Funeral Rite under the direction of Dundee Lodge #190 A.F. & A.M. will be conducted at 8 p.m. Please omit flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriner's Childrens Hospital. Former 33 year employee of the North Town United States Post Office. Dear Bernice and family, we have many fond memories of Ray and you. Ethel's brother, Leo, often spoke of Ray and the good times they had together at the Post Office. Our deepest sympathy on Ray's passing.
