How saddened I was today to learn of Ray's death. When I was a young lawyer, he gave me great encouragement, and even though I was a neophyte and he was a seasoned pro, he treated me with such collegiality he made me feel like a pro. Ray had a quick wit and a kind heart, and he will live on in my memories. It was a privilege to have known him. Please know that I will keep you all in my prayers.

Ray was truly one of the great people I have been privileged to call a friend in my life. We grew up at a wonderful time in a wonderful neighborhood. "Big Ray" was larger than life. I shall always remember him and the great times over the years. I am terribly saddened and I express my deepest sympathy to his family. I shall never forget him.
