Ray Waters Obituary

Mr. Ray Waters, 81 of 113 Vapor Lane, Caroleen, NC died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003 at Rutherfird Hospital.

He was a native of Rutherford County a son of the late Monroe Ervin and Alpha Belle Johnson Waters.

He was a produce farmer and was retired from Burlington Ind., Caroleen Plant. He was a member of Caroleen United Methodist Church and was a former Scout Master of the Caroleen Troop.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Marie Waters; brothers, Ernest Waters, Fred Waters, Barney Waters, Virgil Lee Waters and Fay Waters and a sister Mary Silvers.

He is survived by three sons, Jimmy & wife Regina Waters of Smithfield, VA, Douglas & wife Deborah Waters of Forest City and Donnie Waters of Forest City; daughters, Elaine Hamrick of Ellenboro, Brenda & husband Leslie Davis of Rutherfordton and Linda & husband Danny Luckadoo of Cliffside; two sisters, Annie Mae Walker of Forest City and Daisy Brown of Caroleen; Grandchildren, Ferrell Hamrick, Brandon Waters, Kathy Ross, Michelle Luckadoo, Marcia Waters, Angela Waters and Amy Waters; great grandchildren, Trent Waters, Sherena Suttles, Tripp Hamrick, Tucker Hamrick, and Evensen Ross.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday Dec. 19, 2003 at McKinney-Landreth Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Sepaugh officiating. Burial will be in Henrietta/Caroleen Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:30 - 8:30 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Boy Scouts of America, P.O. Box 152079, Irving, TX 75015-2079

The family will be at the home of Elaine Hamrick, 182 Henrietta St., Ellenboro, NC.
