In 1968, I was a freshman student in Dr. Johnson's honors biology class at Phillips High School. As I write this many of the science lessons and life lessons leap to mind. To the Johnson family: May cherished memories sustain you now and always.
Respectfully,

I was blessed to have the opportunity sing under the direction of Doctor Johnson. I learned a lot of lessons from him on dealing with people/choirs and patience. I will always treasure his memory in my heart.

I had the privilege of working with Dr. Johnson at Malcolm X College and it was a blessing to know and work with such a kind and thoughtful gentleman. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. I wish to extend my heartfelt sympathy to the family and you will be my prayers. May God bless you.

It was an honor to work for him. My thoughts are with his family. I am forever grateful I knew him. He taught me so much....
