I was just randomly thinking of life growing up on N Ahrens and the neighbors. So many wonderful memories. I do remember his passing, so sad and early. Hugs to everyone still after all these years.

I miss you so much. You would be so proud of Mom and all she has accomplished, she is a wonderful mother and friend. Also, you would be proud of your 3 Grandchildren, Jordan (Andrea's 1st daughter) is so smart! She rec'd straight A's in last report card. Jason (Carolyn's son) is also smart and kinda looks like you, and the youngest Erin (Andreas 2nd girl) is cute,also smart and just turned 6.

Right now all your daughters are going through some difficult crossroads in their lives. But, we will be ok, we learned from the best parents all of us daughters could ask for. well this year has gone by very quickly, its still very unreal that you have been gone this long already. Its been a difficult year for all of us. But the strength you have always had shown us and taught us helps us get through our bad moments. Sorry I haven't written lately, school's been kinda hard.. Mom and your house looks great !! It looks like a whole new house. Well, I haven't exactly kept up with my promise of babysitting Charlie, he's quite a handful!! Mom can't get alot done with him around, he follows her everywhere and he's into everything. You would have liked him, hes going to be a LARGE dog, hes only 5 months old but looks like 9. He has quite a personality, just like an Olson!!

Hey Dad,

Well Easter coming soon and Mom has decorated her little goose in his little outfit (I think she has like 20 of them, even a chicago bears one). I think of you daily and have your picture next to me at work (you know the one with you and Mom at New Orleans)and when I start getting upset I know your saying to me CHAR STOP IT !!!! I just want to let you know how much I love you and miss you. Mom's getting a dog !!! His name is Charlie and he is so cute, were picking him up the day after Easter. I'm his designated babysitter. Mom's doing to much lately and needs to relax a bit, but she'll do fine. She's not used to being without you. Well Daddy I love you, thank you for being the most wonderful Father anybody can ask for (even through the hard times) and I love you so much.

Hi Dad,



We'll Mom and I put up the Christmas tree together. We put up your star that you made for Mom on your first Christmas together. I remember as kids when you used to put it up, that might so much to us. Nothing will ever be the same without you.



I remember on Christmas day of you on you rocking chair, teasing Grandma. Mom on the couch, giggling. Andrea giving out the gifts, slowly. Carolyn making dumb jokes, and Grandma, crying. Christmas will never be the same without you.



You are my inspiration, hope, and love that I can be as strong as you on how you went through out all your health problems and your final one that ending your life, you were so brave and so strong. Your spirit is with us. I can feel it.

Do you feel me? See me? Do you hear, my heart, it's broken.



The sun does'nt shine as bright, the moon not as full. The days sometimes long.



We danced, you held me tight. You whispered, I love you. You teased me and laughted your silly laugh. You were strong and worked hard.



The diagnosis it came swift. We cried and held on tight, close together. I saw the fear in your eyes, it hurt.



Our dreams, hopes, never to be. You've given to me your strength and three daughters, so caring and full of life and love, like you.



Once again life will be full but be patient, my love, I't won't be long. We'll dance again, you'll hold me tight and whisper in my ear, tease me, and I'll laugh.

Even thought its been almost 4 weeks since you have left us, every day without you here to share it with is very hard for us to do. We know your spirit will always be with us even thourh you physical body is not...but Dad....what I wouldn't give to hug you or kiss you one more time and here "Oley's jokes". You were the best Father I could have had and I am truly grateful that God choose me to be your daughter.

You've always been there for me unconditionally, my entire life. This past 3 months have been the hardest times that I've ever experienced, for my Mom the worst. I promised you I would take care of Mom, and I will forever.
