U.S. Army Veteran, loving husband of Cindy (nee Buschbach) Maynard, cherished father of Ronald (Wendy) Maynard and Heather (Michael) Huscher, adoring grandfather of Joseph, Julia, Alexis, and Renee, dear brother of Ron Maynard, devoted uncle and friend of many. Lying-in-state Saturday, 9:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 9701 S. Brandt Ave. in Oak Lawn, where services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Visitation Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Thompson & Kuenster Funeral Home, 5570 W. 95th St. in Oak Lawn. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Retired Oak Lawn Fireman. 708-425-0500

When I needed a place to stay, Ralph opened his home to me. I will never forget him. My heart goes out to you Cindy, Ron, Heather, Uncle Ron, and all others that knew Ralph. He was a good man with a big heart. He will be missed.
