Mrs. Gabric, Ralph, Rebecca and Jon,
I just heard today that Ralph had passed away last month. I worked for Ralph in 1979-80 and found him to be a wonderful employer. I owe my strong work ethic to him and will never forget his kind heart.
He told me years ago that his favorite thing about having children was the 2 a.m. feeding time when he was all alone in a quiet moment with his little baby. That's when I knew he was one of a kind.
I will miss him even though I haven't seen him for years. I'm glad that the last time I spoke with him on the phone in August 2002 that I had the chance to thank him for the positive influence that he had on my life.
Your family will be in my prayers.

Mrs. Gabric, Ralph, Rebecca and Jon:
Please accept my condolences on the passing of Ralph Sr. Even though I hadn't seen him in many years, I still feel it was only yesterday that he and you all were kind enough to let me pile in to your van and travel from Chicago to my college in Troy, NY (stopping at the hot spot of DuBois, PA along the way) just so I'd have a way to get back to school. I will also always remember his pragmatic advice on virtually any topic, ranging from the Cubs and Bears to careers. I hope you all can take comfort in the positive impact he had on all he touched.

Dear Joan,
I was saddened to hear of Ralph's passing. I haven't seen either one of you in so many years. I have so many wonderful memories of those once "famous" Bar trips and you and Ralph are a large part of those memories. Ralph always seemed to me to be one of those really nice guys.
I know that this is a difficult time for you.You and your family are in my prayers.
Sincerely,
Sharon Carbon

Mrs. Gabric, Ralph, Rebecca and Jon : Sorry to hear of the passing of a great husband and father. I have many great memories of hanging out at your home in Glen Ellyn as teenager and college student. Ralph Sr.was always pleasant, funny and full of good advice. In fact, I can remember being at the Gabric household for a Bears/Packers Monday night game shortly after graduating from college. On this particular night, I asked Ralph Sr. for some advice on leaving my current job for another. His advice was to take the new job which turned out to be one of the best moves I ever made .
I also have other memories of invading the Gabric's summer place in Lake Geneva. Just when Ralph Sr. and Joan thought they were in for a peaceful weekend at the lake, Ralph Jr. would show up with a group friends to ruin their plans. Even under these circumstances, Ralph and Joan were always accomodating.
I am sorry that I will not be able to attend the services in Glen Ellyn this weekend, but my family and I are leaving for Pittsburgh today. Hope to see all of you soon.
