Ralph Augle Obituary
Ralph G. Augle, age 95, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 28, 2023. His beloved wife of 72 years, Marcella and daughter Nancy were by his side.
Ralph was born in Chicago on August 31, 1927, to Amanda and Christopher Augle. He was a WWII Army Veteran, part owner of Dressel's bakery in Bridgeport, and he was a Chief Building Engineer for the city of Chicago until he retired. Ralph was an avid golfer for years, but above all he was known for his kindness and his love for family.
Devoted father of Nancy (Don) Surges, Michael, and Karen (Tom) Brady; cherished grandfather of Lauren (Salvatore) Calace, Alyssa Surges, Jessica (Jack) Powers, and Jillian; a loving great grandfather to Alexa, Luca, and Jack Jr.; dear brother of Robert (Sharon), Shirley (Moey) and Trudy (Cliff) Kuschel; loving uncle of many.
Preceded in death by his parents, baby son, siblings Rose, Christopher, Ed, Richard, Alice and Dorothy. He will be deeply missed by those fortunate enough to know and love him.
A private celebration of his life will be held in the coming weeks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your charity of choice in Ralph's memory.
