Sending our deepest condolences for the loss of your mother. Pierrette leaves many memories of cultural arts, femininity and strength, and much love. Her daughter is one of the most thoughtful, generous, and compassionate people I know, so Pierrette's essence is with her loved ones. A beautiful tribute for a beautiful human.

Farewell to a sweet and beautiful lady. She welcomed us misfits with open arms. She was like a second mom, and that meant a lot. I was lucky to have known her...

My favorite memories of Pierrette are from staying with Christine at the Steyer's home in Chicago when Christine and I were in college together. Their dog Chestnut always seemed to be by Pierrette's side. I remember Pierrette's lovely French accent as she called, "Christeeeeen!"
Christine was devastated when she was blocked from communicating with her mom. I am so grateful that they had the opportunity to reconnect just before Pierrette passed away. I can only imagine the relief and joy they both must have experienced during this reunion. Hopefully now Pierrette can rest in peace. And Christine, may you find solace in the love your mother expressed for you at the end.

She visited us at our home in Oak Park many years ago. She and I and our dog Mozart went for a walk together and talked. I wish we could´ve spent more time together.
Later she was blocked from contacting us but she still managed to call many times and left messages of love for Christine. Then communication was cut off completely. We heard late last year that she was injured. We found out where she was and went to see her. Christine was reunited with her mother before she passed. She was so happy to see Christine again. I am grateful to have seen it.

Thank you, dear Mama, for all the beauty and kindness you have brought into this world. Thank you, beautiful Mama, for all the love and support you poured into me through good times and bad. Thank you, devoted Mama, for all your sacrifices in support of my education, my singing and my musical projects. Your life was not easy much of the time, yet you always tried to keep a smile despite your tears and sadness. I wish for you to feel deep peace and to be reunited with those loved ones who have gone before you. I cherish the time when we two will be together again free from all sorrows. Your loving daughter.

Pierrette was such a joyous and integral part to all our holiday, birthday, and family get-togethers. She was so very kind, sweet, and sensitive and such a good listener; she was a friend to everybody that she met. She was also very funny and had a way of making people around her laugh and feel good.
Pierrette is going to be greatly missed by all of us. Her Christian faith was very deep and strong, so we can take comfort in knowing that she is resting in safely in comfort and peace now.
