Phyllis Watts Obituary
Age 64, of Horseheads, NY, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. She was born on March 2, 1947 in Elmira, NY. Phyllis was predeceased by her father, Albert Burley. She is survived by her son, Sean Watts of MN; daughter, Shannon (Joe) Bird of Fishkill, NY; mother, Dorothy Peck of Big Flats; brothers, Glenn (Lynn) Burley of TN and Jerrold (Jean) Burleigh of Horseheads; sisters, Frankie Lou Sonetti of OR and Trudy Burley of FL; grandchildren, Alaina Bird and Samantha Bird both of Fishkill; along with several nieces and nephews. There will be no prior calling hours. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, February 21st at 1 p.m. at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home with Pastor David Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

To Dorothy, Jerry, Trudi, Glenn & Frankie..I just now found out about Phyllis' passing..You will never know how sad it makes me to have her leave but, also, happy for her to be with our Lord Jesus..I have had 2 rota-tor cuff surgeries on the same arm in 3 months & wasn't able to write..I was trying to send Phyllis some pictures & a card today..She & I used to ride horses together, feed the goats and stayed most of one winter in the cellar of the house Al was building. He used to call me "Stub" because I was so short.Boy, I hated that but, now can look back & laugh.. Dorothy, I will send these pics & card if you would like & if you will call me and give me an address..My home # is 910-259-2395. I now live in Wilmington, NC..I am so sorry that Phyllis never got to see these nor to know that I was praying for her..She was a dear, dear friend. Lovingly, Sharon Taylor Smith (alias: Stub)

Oh I can only imagine the freedom that she has in Heaven and I can see her running and jumping and praising our Wonderful Lord. Heaven is better than any place on this earth. Be comforted and do not sorrow as those who have not hope ! Just be ready and stay ready and get others ready to see her again. ECC prayed for her family this a.m. sisberta
