I would like to offer my sympathy to Uncle Don, Donnie, Ronnie and Karen on the passing of their mother. I happen to come across this obituary accidentally and ironically, had tried to contact Aunt Phyllis and Uncle Don some odd years ago (before internet) to thank them. It's been close to 40 years since I have seen any of you, but know that all of you have passed through my thoughts so very often. I always wanted to thank Uncle Don and Aunt Phyllis for the morals, ethics, values and discipline that were instilled in me, while living with them as a foster child for the 7 years that I did. I'm a mother now, with 5 grown children and a grandmother of 6. The same qualities that your parents instilled in me, I in turn, did with my children. I'm happy to say, that because of the type of people they are, my grandchildren are learning those traits. I believe all things happen for a reason and it was no accident that your parents opened up their home to me at the time I needed one. I'm not quite sure how my life would have turned out, had it not been for them, but I do know that they played a huge part in how it turned out and that is pretty well. God Bless each and every one of you and know that you will continue to pass through my thoughts, I'm sure, for the rest of my life. That truly is a legacy.
Sincerely, Christine
