To Phyllis' Family
I had the pleasure of working with Phyllis for the past 10 years and during that time, we shared many stories. Phyllis was a celebration of life.
Lately, we had talked about the soldiers comprising the Heavenly Battalion that were fighting on her behalf. I have to trust that Phyllis won the battle.
I will miss her Laughter, Kindness (beyond description), Intensity, Courage and Love.

I worked with Phyllis at the AG's from 1999-2003. Her office was across the hall from mine and she never failed to look in on me when she passed by. I was sorry to be out of town and miss offerring my condolences to her family in person. My thoughts are with you all.

Even though I left the AG's office almost 10 years ago, I remember Phyllis very well and with great fondness--she was always so lovely and had such a wit beneath that demure demeanor. This is a great loss.

Dear Family and Friends of Phyllis: I was very sorry to learn recently of the illness of Phyllis and her untimely passing. I worked with her for about four years in the 1970s and 1980s at the Environmental Division of the Attorney General and knew her to be a very dedicated, selfless and wonderful person who always put others above herself. There are too few people like her in this life.

To the Dunton family,

May it comfort you to know that Phyllis spoke of her family often and she deeply loved all of you. At our Office, we will miss her graciousness, her tender heart, her dedication and her terrific sense of humor.

And we will remember her always.
I am so sorry for your loss.

My deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of Phyllis as she kept them all close to her heart. I had the priviledge of working with Phyllis for several years and to engage in numerous conversations both personal and professional all of which I walked away learning something. Phyllis was quite a lady, can't say I've ever met anyone quite like her. Her soft voice and her "never-ending" smile will always be remembered and cherished.

To Phyllis' family, my very deep sympathies. My heart is with you. Phyllis was such a truly wonderful individual. In the workplace, I so admired Phyllis' ability to patiently work with, and so kindly and successfully shepherd, the endless parade of law clerks. I was one of them. She made a lasting impression in that role, and can be credited with bringing the office a tremendous amount of good will. Once with the office, I found her to be a pillar, tremedously competent, knowledgeable and, of course, her trademark, ever so kind and caring. We all suffer this loss. I can only imagine what it must be like for you, the family. Again, my heart is with you.

To the Family of Phyllis Dunton, my deepest sympathies on the loss of such a wonderful, lovely lady. I knew Phyllis for about 25 years at the Attorney General's Office. She was always so kind and helpful to me and everyone at the office. Sometimes we would not talk for a while, but when we did, we could pick up right where we left off. We could commiserate about our problems at the office or just have a good laugh. She was a great listener too. She always seemed concerned about what was going on in my life and would ask appropriate questions without probing. Phyllis was such a rarity in our crazy, hectic world. She was gentle and soft spoken. She had her opinions about things, but she never had to raise her voice to be heard. Phyllis was special and will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Nancy, John, Marian, Jackie, Wynne and the Dunton, Hofherr, Kramer and Martin Families,

We are so very sorry to learn of your loss. Kiss was a lovely person - beautiful, kind, and gentle. None of us can understand when vibrant and good people are called to God at such a young age - especially when we need them here. We join you in faith, which is beyond our understanding. Our faith is in the perfection of God's plan, and power of love, which constantly defeats death.

God bless you all. We wish you peace.

Kiss - remember us. We will never forget you.

With deepest sympathy,

Rich and Donna (Corcoran) Kiraly

Phyllis was always ready and willing to help so many people. I hadn't seen her for several years after graduation from St. Scholastica in 1969, but we recognized each other immediately in 1991 when Loyola took over the Mallinckrodt College paralegal program. Phyllis graciously agreed to continue to serve on our advisory committee. Over the years she sponsored numerous interns at the Attorney General's office and was always an enthusiastic supporter of paralegals and Loyola's paralegal program. We will miss you, Phyllis.

I would like to extend my condolences to the Dunton Family. I met Phyllis in 1987 when I worked in the Attorney General's Office. We continued our friendship even after I left the Office and ultimately moved to New York City. Phyllis was a great friend. And, I will miss our get-togethers where we gossiped about everything from politics to fashion. May the memory of Phyllis be a blessing.

Please accept my condloences in your time of bereavement. I first met Phyllis about 20 years ago when I began working at the Attorney General's office. I considered myself blessed to have met and to befriend someone, who "never changed." She always had a smile on her face, a kind word to say and was always very helpful. I was sadden when I learned of her illness and prayed for her recovery. It hurt deeply when I learned of her passing. Phyllis will always have a special place in my heart.

Sweetheart Kiss:
You were my best friend. All of the times we shared together! Remember Willie & Bounce, Baby Huey, Fun Fridays and Favorite Thursdays, our weekend shopping trips to Malls near and far, the Ballet every February, Ginny dolls and dressing Barbie, our Birthday trips, Antique Shows and Oh, Behave! Dog Training, infusing my life with your warmth and charm, teaching me about the "great" movies and books. My accomplished Kiss, best cook ever, she sewed, painted, gardened, played piano, the embodiment of God's gift of Womanhood.
I need you still, Kiss, and love you forever.
