Julia,
I am sorry, but I just found out Phil passed away. I am a medical illustrator who worked with him on many challenging cases from the time he worked in Bob Clifford's office. He was a great client and I loved collaborating with him.

Dear Julia and family,

I am saddened to hear the news of Phil's passing. "Dr. Taxman" was a very big deal in my family; he was the only person my father would listen too. My father called him "Hands", because of Phil's renowned expertise as a surgeon. He was a larger than life character, always so confident and self assured. My dad could hardly ask a question- as Dr. Taxman had the answer and that's the way it was!
The last time I saw you was at my dad's funeral where Phil spoke so eloquently of their friendship. He will be greatly missed and my prayers are with you.

On behalf of the Roberta Rothenbach family and Rothby Yorkshire Terriers, our deepest condolences on the passing of Mr. Taxman. Phil and Roberta met many years ago when he represented her. That was the beginning of a lovely relationship that they shared revolving around their beloved Yorkies. I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Taxman when Roberta passed in 2009, and found him to be a truly interesting and compassionate human being. Our prayers are with his family.

Deepest sympathy to the Taxman family on the passing of Phil. We attended law school together and after graduation I would occasionally run into Phil as he was headed to court or jumping into a cab. Phil was a great guy to talk to, smart and down to earth. I will miss him.

I went to law school at Loyola Law School and remember Phil well. I was in the night school and the students in the night school most often worked a full time job. Law school was something that they really seemed to want. Phil was one of those persons in my opinion. I wish to extend my sympathy to his wife and family.

Our prayers are for Mrs. Julia Taxman and the Taxman children.
