Philip Thomas Obituary

my family and I Lucy Uzzle Gray miss you so much . There will never be another wonderful doctor like you. we will always love you and thank you for wonderful service to your patients. rest in peace you deserve it.

Mama asked "Doc" to name me when I was born and so he did. He told her he was gonna name me Philip, but since I was born a girl, he chose Phyllis. I had spinal meningitis at 8 months old. Mama spoke often about how "Doc" read every book on the subject and the care and compassion he gave to me. Mama walked in my hospital room one mornin' to find me playin' patty cake in my bed. There are no words to describe what he meant to me and my family. He was always there for my Mama, me and my siblings at a time when we needed him most. I remember the house calls he made. I am now 57 years young. I would not be here today if it were not for his dedication and desire to help people. The photo has been one of my refrigerator pictures since 1990 and it sits among family and friends. I saw him last when my Mama passed in 2004. I wish I had come home more often. He has been and will always be, tucked in my heart forever. My family is deeply sorry for your loss. We loved him very much. Thank you "Doc" for always being there, for your gentle nature and your wonderful smile. Give Mama a hug for me. I love you, Phyl.

Dr. T was a very special man and a very dedicated Doctor. Katherine, Steve, Phillip, & Family we are so sorry for your loss. Dr. T will be sorely missed!

There will never ever be another Dr. Thomas!!! He delivered me, was my doctor and my friend. He got me through the most difficult times in my life...the passing of my daddy when I was 14. I loved him with all my heart and will miss that smile he always had on his face. He will always hold a special place in my heart.

Doc Thomas will truely be missed. He delivered myself four of my siblings and was our family doctor for years. He was always there for you when you needed him. God has called him home so that he can continue his work with Him.

I just want to send my deepest sympathy to the Thomas family. Doc u will be missed but I know God needed you more .

Katherine, you and your family are in our prayers. Your dad sounds like an amazing man.

Dr. Thomas was the best, he delivered my sisters and I, also a grandson Don in our family, he made a house visit when it was necessary, I will always remember the hugs and the great words of wisdom, he was the best and will be missed. He was always there when we needed him, God has another angel in heaven.

Dr. Thomas was a REAL doctor. He took care of my family for a long time. This included home visits, hospital visits and office visits, regular and off hours. He was there 24/7. No one does that now. Thank you for all your hard work, now rest in peace with your wife, she worked right along with you. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Thanks Doc

We owe many thanks for the service of Dr. Thomas. He helped our family throughout many illnesses. I am especially grateful for his care and concern for my father, Joseph Chinnis, Jr., who was also a WWII veteran. You will be missed, Dr. Thomas.
