CFD Air Rescue Team, Veteran WWII U.S. Army, of Chicago and Palm Springs, CA, beloved husband of Mary Eileen (nee Amir), loving father of Ellen (Gary) Pakel, John (Marcia), Peggy (Ed) Mele, Patty (Jim) Keating, Liz (Joe) Oakes, Maureen (Mike) Kane, Karen (Randy) Jankowski, Tommy (Leanne), and Amy, cherished grandpa of 19, preceded in death by two of his grandchildren, Joshua Oakes and Faith Keating, fond brother of the late Mary Smolecki, Frank and Louis Hodur. My sincerest condolences on the passing of your husband and father. I remember Mr. Hodur tinkering in the garage and always taking time to explain what he was doing. He was a wounderful man and will be missed but he will always live on in my memories.
