I am sorry to hear of his passing. A person of high moral standards. He listened to others opinions and wanted others to be treated just and fair. Believed in the value of hard work.

I am sorry that Phil has passed.
I will always be grateful to Phil for his friendship and support to help me become a CBS Television News Director. I am sending prayers and love to all of his family with the hope that all the love and words of comfort from Phil's friends can help to ease your hearts.

May I add my condolences to the Ruskin family. I did work at CBS Inc. when Phil was directing the WBBM-TV News. We were both members of the Chicago Press Club, Phil served on several committees with me over the decades we were members. It was a pleasure to know and work with him. As often happens after leaving our "media" jobs were drifted apart. Like so many others, who served in the military, Phil never mentioned his service. If he was a Korean Vet, the Jewish war Veterans (JWV) can arrange for copy of a gold plated copy of the Korean Memorial in Washington D C to be sent to the family. As commander of JWV Post 710 in Chicago, I can expedite the this request. Your loss is shared -
