Peter Scalone Obituary
Scalone, Peter 63, late of Lowell, IN, formerly of Hegewisch, at rest Monday, May 21, 2007. Beloved husband of Anita (nee Warholak), proud father of Peter A. (Tina) Scalone, Bret (Jennifer) Scalone, Amy (William) Miner, Beth (John) Hicks, caring brother of Sebastian (June) Scalone and Frances (Joseph) Contonzo, dearest grandfather of Megan, Morgan, Madeline, Marin and Jack Miner, Peter and Payton Scalone, Devin, Dylan and Donovan Hicks, Taylor, Tyler, Talia and Taryn Scalone, Taylor Gabriel, Brooke and Jackie Wigsmoen, Tony Elizalde, son-in-law of Anita E. Pufahl and brother-in-law of Andrew and Alan Warholak. Survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his loving parents, Rev. Peter and Julia Scalone. Peter proudly and honorbly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam and retired from the Chicago Fire Department Engine #97 as Lieutenant. He enjoyed being a ham radio operataor, fishing, shooting and mostly loved being with his grandchildren. Funeral service 10 a.m., Saturday, May 26, 2007, at Opyt Funeral Home, 13350 S. Baltimore Ave., Chicago, IL to Lowell Memorial Cemetery, Lowell, IN. Visitation Friday, 2 to 8 p.m. 773-646-1133.

Dearest Anita,
I am so sorry about the passing of Pete. I know it has been a long time since we spoke, but I think of you often and remember how much you helped me when Jim and I divorced. I want you to know you and all of the family will be in my prayers.
