Peter McWilliams Obituary

Maria and McWilliams Family:

By coincidence, I had been thinking about Peter after I got hit by a car in New York. Around Labor Day, I was on the internet and read about his accident. I emailed Maria and we remembered Palatine,Chicago, and many things from long ago.

Mr. Pete, You made people smile during your short season with us.

Pete always was larger than life. He could brighten any room with his attitude and confidence. A massive community came out for Pete, to say goodbye. It was clear what a large difference he made to many people. I was fortunate to call him my friend. In the end Peter was the bravest among us. He willingly put his life at risk everyday he went to work. I will never forget the man he became. Sue, I hope that you and the kids heal quickly. We will be telling stories about Pete for a long time to come.....

To the McWilliams family. Words cannot express how deeply saddened I was to here about Pete. It only seems like yesterday that we were all together having carefree times at the old house in Palatine. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. God bless you Peter.

Although I never met Peter I remember you speaking fondly of him often. And although we haven't kept in constant touch, you are always thought of and remembered. I am so sorry to hear about Pete. Words can't describe the loss you must feel. Surely God has a plan when something that seems so senseless happens. I know I speak for all my brothers and sisters and my family when I express our deepest condolences. It seems a long time ago when were just kids growing up in the neighborhood. I'm very sorry to hear about Pete. What a sad time for his family and all of you guys. I guess you'll all in your own way eventually get through this but never fully get over it. Dave I really empathize with you on losing your only brother, hang in there buddy. I'm sure it's comforting knowing that your loss just became Rita and Paul's gain.
