I've lost a cherished part of my childhood with Pete’s passing. I had the privilege of living next door to the Manika family growing up. Pete, Pat, Michael and Jen were my home away from home. You could always count on the friendship and love they all offered whenever you stepped into their home. This heartfelt offering has continued into my adulthood the few times I’ve gotten back to Chicago and have been able to visit my old neighborhood. Pete loved his family beyond all else and that love will forever live on in each of them. My prayers and love go out to each of you during this difficult time.

Pete will be missed. I met him while working at Stewart Warner. He was an accomplished salesman and a great sailor too. Pete always had a smile on his face and a story to share.

We only recently had the honor of meeting Peter, but what a pleasure to spend time with him. The joy he brought to so many was evident in the twinkle in his eye, his gentle but firm handshake and his broad smile. We have all lost someone special with his passing and extend our deepest sympathy to his family.
