Peter Johnson Obituary

Johnson, Peter Erik 44, of Round Lake Beach passed away Sunday 7/24 from liver disease brought on by his 23 yr. battle with Ulcerative colitis. Beloved son of Carol(the late Raymond) Carlson and the late Charles R. Johnson. He is survived by two children: Tristan Alexander 10 and Tallon Riley 5,their mother and longtime partner Veronica Helmer and her 3 children. Loving brother of Janis(Dale) Hurst and Christopher and nephews, Tyler and Austin. Dear stepbrother of 5. Pete was born and raised in Glenview. He graduated from Glenbrook South High School in 1984 attended Elmhurst College and studied Journalism at University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He was employed by the Daily Herald. An avid Green Bay Packer and Northwestern Wildcat fan he attended many games including two Super Bowls. Pete had written and been published in a tribute book for the Green Bay Packers. He had a great dry sense of humor and has left us all with many happy memories.
