Peter Connolly Obituary

Connolly, Peter D.

Peter D. Connolly, 83, of Chicago and recently Park Ridge, died Saturday May 13 after a brief illness. Beloved husband of Judy (nee Sirchio). Peter graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1962. Peter and Judy, the love of his life, both enjoyed the other loves – the Cubs and Notre Dame. Peter and Judy braved the cold and elements and rarely missed a Notre Dame football game or Opening Day at Wrigley Field.

Peter was preceded in death by his parents Michael (Mick) and Marie (Doll), as well as his sister, Rita Foley and his brothers, William (Butch), Michael, and Morgan. Survived by sisters-in-law Jean Connolly, Donna Connolly, Pat Sirchio, and LuAnn (Zenith) Akers. Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Peter was a friend to all he met and will be missed. Services have been held by Cooney Funeral Home.

Even in his recent days he was a gentleman, offering to follow me and Judy into the elevator. He and Judy are greatly respected and cared for at the Summit.
