To the Carroll Family,
Pete was a wonderful teacher to many. A very wise sage, with a smile and a warm greeting. He also was never afraid to give a swift kick when needed. I know Pete Jr. knows that. He was a friend. He will be missed by all who have known him. One of my favorite memories of Pete was when he called a meeting of all the vendors of the Department of Fleet Management. I was one of his largest vendors, and we met all his needs. When the meeting started he picked me to be his first public beating. I knew we had done nothing wrong, but I did not debate him on it, because I knew he was just setting a tone for every one else. He winked at me at the end of the meeting in appreciation. We never spoke about this before or after, but we had a great connection that day, that taught me a lesson i will never forget.

Thank you for being my friend Pete, God Bless you
